Crawlspace encapsulation is used in homes with exposed soil or gravel crawlspaces. A durable plastic vapor barrier is sealed across the floor and up the walls of the crawlspace. A radon fan system is then attached beneath the barrier to create suction, pulling radon gas from under the liner and venting it safely outdoors. This method both reduces radon entry and helps with moisture and mold control.
